Patience is not the ability to wait. Patience is to be calm no matter what happens, constantly take action to turn it to positive growth opportunities, and have faith to believe that it will all work out in the end while you are waiting. – Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
I have found that in our go-go-go society patience is not a virtue easily found. We expect immediacy when it comes to communication with the advancements in technology – social media, texts, phone calls, emails…We cheat ourselves of personal growth. We cheat ourselves by not having to read as technology does it for us; our fingers busily typing away. We cheat ourselves in relationships as more often than not – real time relationships are substituted with increasing screen time.
Balance, WE need it. We crave it. Living in harmony with the advancements in technology is a daily struggle. Let’s not forget to grow.
